We use raw licorice powder made from fine licorice roots found in dry regions in Italy, Afghanistan and the Middle East. It matters where the roots are from, because soil conditions and temperatures have an enormous influence on the final taste. Just like it is the case in wine production.
We always use chocolate of the highest quality in our chocolate coated products. The white chocolate is gentle in its taste – sweet, smooth and with vanilla notes.
Salmiak is a unique ingredient, especially used with licorice in the Nordic countries. It has a sour and salty taste compared to regular salt which has a sweet and salty taste.
